Alphington I

A small addition to a heritage, Federation-era house in Alphington.

Re-orientation of the addition at the rear takes advantage of the Northern aspect and allows for constant natural light to the new Living/Dining/Kitchen area. Minimal intrusion into the existing heritage front keeps the character and history of the original house.

An all-electric house, the design prioritises strong environmental elements and is an example of adaptive reuse of existing houses to high-performance, modern living.
